    POST CIVIL WAR MEN’S WHITE SHIRT W BIB FRONT AND CUT SLEEVES
    DATING TO THE LATE 1860’S - EARLY 1870’S
    FASHIONED OF WHITE LINEN WITH REINFORCED SHOULDERS BOTH IN THE FRONT AND THE REAR
    A PLEATED BIB FRONT WITH A BAND COLLAR, FINE GATHERING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BIB AS WELL AS THE CENTER REAR NECKLINE BACK WITH GUSSETS INSERTED ON EITHER SIDE OF THE NECKLINE
    THE SHIRT TAILS FALL SQUARE WITH REINFORCED DARTS ON EACH SIDE
    THE SLEEVES HAVE BEEN CUT OFF AND LOOKS GREAT WITH THE SLEEVES ROLLED UP, AS PICTURED, OR COULD BE FINISHED OFF WITH A CUFF IF DESIRED.
    CONDITION
    :  THE SHIRT ORIGINALLY CLOSED WITH BUTTON LINKS BUT POLISHED SHELL BUTTONS WERE ADDDED TO THE FRONT CLOSURE
    THERE ARE THREE SMALL HOLES ON THE LEFT SLEEVE THAT ARE PINHEAD IN SIZE
    A PERIOD SEAM REPAIR IS ON THE SIDE BIB AND TRACE STITCHING AT THE BOTTOM BIB REVEALS IT MAY HAVE BEEN ALTERED IN THE PERIOD
