Base Coat Activator increases adhesion durability of solvent basecoat, SMR-600-Q

$ 20.59

Availability: 158 in stock

Description

This sale is for a quart of SMR-600, basecoat activator.
SMR-600 is for all solvent based automotive basecoats.
SMR-600 will significantly increase basecoat adhesion, durability, flexibility and chip resistance.
The color coat (basecoat) in a paint job is the weak link. The large amount of pearls and metallics within automotive basecoats has pushed the PVC beyond an acceptable limit. The addition of basecoat activator will decrease the PVC, create crosslinking and eliminate basecoat split.
Basecoat without activator is like sandwiching a lacquer between two polyurethanes. Again, an expensive weak link.
By activating the basecoat, you can also repair the job later without swelling and lifting problems.
Eliminate peeling problems, especially in problem areas like bumpers.
Add 6% SMR-600 to "ready to spray" basecoat. Ex: One quart (32 oz.) of reduced basecoat needs 2 oz. of SMR-600.
Features:
- Enough activator for 2 gallons of mixed basecoat
- Increase Adhesion & Durability
- Eliminate peeling problems to primers and clearcoats
- Improve repairability
- No more basecoat split
- SMR-600 is cheap insurance
