Description
Japan’s Beloved Kiri Mochi ~Rice Cakes aren’t just a chewy delicious snack!
It is also a tradition (^_^)
Often eaten grilled on a Hibachi Grill but can also be par boiled or broiled in the oven.
Paired up with anko beans (sweet red bean paste or porridge), these yummy rice cakes brings back centuries of tradition and also is said to bring good luck when eaten on a new year or anniversary festivities.
When grilled, it creates an outer crust that is not only deelightfully crunchy, but also, it brings another layer to the chewy texture of the rice cake.
Each Kirimochi is individually wrapped!
So you know that each rice cake will be perfectly fresh when ready to grill.
Each bag contains approximately 20 to 22 cakes and it weighs a total of 1 kilo (2.2 lbs)

Dee’s Tip:
If you don’t have Anko sweet red bean paste, you can also try it with other sweet preserves (preferably with Syrup or pulp).
It also works well with Hawaiian Halo Halo red beans preserves, or Korean Pat red bean paste or porridge. It is the same bean in different forms.
I also recommend eating it with chestnut sweet paste or dipping it in honey.
And the good luck it is said to give...
That is always a good thing (^_~)
